Violin Study
In the summer of 2020, I learned violin making from a local Luthier. The process was challenging but informative in understanding the work that goes into instruments that can last several lifetimes and are steeped in history.

began cutting out the outline on the bandsaw.

After re-planing the front and back plates and planing the ribs, the mold was applied to the plates and 2 sets of outlines were lightly carved into the plates.

The rest of the ribs were heat bent and attached to the blocks using hide glue.
